If your company hires cars regularly, for clients, visiting staff, projects or events, a business account keeps every hire in one place and gives your team one point of contact. Here's how it works, from the first request to the last invoice.
Who a business account is for
A business account suits any company that hires more than once in a while:
- businesses hosting clients or visiting colleagues in London;
- project and site teams who need cars for weeks at a time;
- companies covering a car that's off the road;
- event and launch teams who need a premium car for a day.
If you're hiring once, you can simply book online as an individual. If you'll hire again, an account saves time.
Step 1: Request your account
Opening an account starts with a short form on our business account page. You'll tell us:
- your company name, and your name and role;
- your email and phone number;
- how often you expect to hire;
- your typical hire length;
- anything else we should know, such as the cars you need and where.
It takes a couple of minutes.
Step 2: We call you back
We'll call you back to understand what you need: who will be booking, who will be driving, the cars you're likely to want and how often. It's a conversation, not a sales pitch. We'd rather set the account up properly than quickly.
Step 3: Your account is set up
Business accounts are invoice-based, with their own rate card agreed when the account is set up. There's no minimum hire, and daily, weekly and monthly rates are available.
Step 4: Your team books
Booking works the same way as any R3ntal Central hire:
- Choose the dates and a car that's free.
- The driver adds their licence and DVLA check code. Every driver needs a clean licence and to be at least 25; some cars can be hired by younger drivers, depending on the vehicle.
- The hire agreement is signed online.
- We check the licence and confirm the booking.
See licence and age and documents for what each driver needs.
Step 5: Collection, or delivery to your office
Drivers can collect from our depot in Hainault, East London, or you can ask about delivery and collection to your office or a client site, available at extra cost. At collection, the car is inspected with the driver and photographed.
Step 6: During the hire
Every hire comes with a customer experience manager, so there's one person who knows your booking. Our support line is open from 8am to 8pm. If a project runs over, the driver can request an extension through the account.
Step 7: Return and records
At return, the car is inspected and photographed again. A hire can't be closed without both inspections, so if a question comes up later about the car's condition, the record is already there.
As a Syndicar agency, we can offer a client portal where every booking, charge, payment and document is kept together. Your finance team doesn't need to chase paperwork.
